Welcome to
Beaumont Area Council of the Blind

About BACB

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership governed charitable organization with Federal Tax ID #27-1930132. Since 2009, the Beaumont Area Council of the Blind has been available to serve, partner with and empower persons who are blind, visually impaired or have low vision. We are destined to be the premier support venue in Beaumont and the surrounding area.

The BACB Mission

The Beaumont Area Council of the Blind (BACB) serves as an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind of Texas (ACBT). The American Council of the Blind (ACB) “strives to increase the independence, security, equality of opportunity, and to improve quality of life for all blind and visually impaired people.” The American Council of the Blind of Texas (ACBT) subscribes to this mission and works to be an advocacy organization and positive, proactive support system to Texans who are blind or visually impaired. The Beaumont Area Council of the Blind (BACB) supports the mission of ACB and ACBT and promotes inclusion, unity, and the discovery and activation of personal abilities possessed by individuals who are blind, visually impaired or have low vision.
